Seafood trends for 2026 emphasize value-added products for both retail and foodservice. Tinned fish is sustaining its popularity and trendiness, embracing innovative international flavor profiles while the category enjoys strong performance for shelf-stable seafood, with increases in dollars, units and pounds.

Circana data suggest finfish grew in dollars and pounds sold throughout 2025, while shellfish sales fell in December and in the full-year view.
