State of the

industry 2023

Businesses and consumers are still making their way through the post-COVID hangover fog. While supply chain issues have improved generally and food price inflation largely appears to have plateaued for now, economic uncertainty has everyone cautious about spending and looking for a deal.

How long the new normal remains normal remains to be seen. But some trends that received a boost during the pandemic – such as to-go or delivery orders at foodservice and consumers seeking to recreate restaurant-quality meals at home – look like they’re going to have some shelf life.
